# Divisions

The San Andreas Department of Corrections currently has two divisions. Below is a quick description of each one as well as their objective and goal. Once you become a Corrections Officer, you will be able to join any of the following divisions.

  Corrections Officers must complete two weeks of service as a Corrections Officer before being eligible to join divisions.

## Field Training Division

The Field Training Program is to teach upcoming cadets the way of a Corrections Officer. You will be teaching the standard operating procedures, as well as how to manage situations we encounter on a daily basis. They can be identified with a white stripe on their trousers, or a vest with a Field Trainer patch.

## Emergency Response Team

The Emergency Response Team is made up of highly-trained Corrections Officers with the aim of preventing and eliminating any threats within the prison as peacefully as possible. They do this through the use of specialist equipment and tactics. They can be identified with a diamond on their chevrons.
